LANXESS Young Euro Classic Japan Tour
Opening concert on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of German-Japanese relations
On the occasion of the one-year long celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of German-Japanese relations the LANXESS Young Euro Classic Japan Tour took Young Euro Classic to Japan for two concerts. The German-Japanese festivities took place under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Naruhito and the then Federal President of Germany.
"150 years of German-Japanese relations"
The "Young Euro Classic Ensemble Japan-Germany" opened the celebrations with a concert under the baton of Maestro Gerd Albrecht on 23 October. The former Federal President of Germany Wulff then hosted a special concert in Iwaki, Province Fukushima, on 25 October 2011: "Young Euro Classic Ensemble Japan–Germany - in support of those affected by the catastrophe of 11 March 2011".
