Cantus Domus
The success of the young Berlin-based chorus Cantus Domus is based on its courage to take on extraordinary projects. In the series “ConceptConcerts”, the listeners are immersed in spatial productions. Under the title “BIKE&SING”, the chorus regularly gives summer concerts in the environs of Berlin. Cantus Domus was founded in 1996 and has since established itself in Berlin’s choral landscape and beyond, under the artistic leadership of Ralf Sochaczewsky. The chorus enjoys a close collaboration with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester (DSO) Berlin. Among the highlights of the past season was its participation in the production of Dvořák’s opera at the Chamber Opera at the Rheinsberg Palace. Cantus Domus already participated once in the Young Euro Classic Festival, in the anniversary year of 2009, when it performed in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
