Heinrich Schiff

Heinrich Schiff is a world famous cellist. He has played with all the major orchestras and conductors; and has received accolades for many of his recordings, such as the Bach solo suites or the Shostakovich concertos. Over the last 25 years, Schiff has devoted half of his creative energy to conducting. In this capacity, he has directed the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Saxon State Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2008, Schiff delivered a celebrated performance with the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra at the Young Euro Classic festival.
