The National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Turkey is made up of the best young upcoming musical talent in Turkey. The students at conservatories in İzmir, İstanbul, Ankara, Antalya and other cities are aged between 14 and 21. The orchestra’s membership of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras means musicians are able to take part in exchange programmes with European orchestras. The ensemble, made up of some 70 musicians, first performed at Young Euro Classic in 2008, and is conducted by its founder Cem Mansur.
