A Platform for Contemporary Music
Contemporary music plays a prominent part within the overall context of all Young Euro Classic projects. The Festival provides a platform for contemporary music and, beyond that, commissions a large number of new works from young composers. Since 2000, a total of 60 German first performances and 105 world premieres were brought to the stage, among them 61 compositions commissioned by Young Euro Classic.
Festival hymn
The festival hymn is played at the beginning of each concert - in surprisingly different versions, which is due to the national tone of the orchestra performing it. The hymn is a commissioned work for Young Euro Classic and changes every two years.
